Generally speaking, rich vibrant health isn't something you get from a bottle. True health is much more than the suppression or absence of symptoms. At times, suppression of symptoms can be a good thing but lets not mistake those denied or suppressed symptoms for true health which means we don't need any symptoms.
Symptoms area specific type of body language. The difficulty is that most of us are unable to understand this body language. So, we don't know what our bodies are trying to say to us. However, just because we don't understand doesn't mean there isn't some change we need to make. The presence of symptoms means there is something that needs our attention - some change or action needs to be taken for our health and wellbeing to be restored and/or maintained. When we take that action or make that change our bodies no longer need to speak and our symptoms go away. I devote myself to listening carefully to gain an understanding of what your body is saying and what it wants us to do to restore and maintain rich vibrant health.
Symptoms often arise after many changes and adaptations have taken place within us. Our bodies are constantly responding to life and its stressors and doing what needs to be done to maintain health and balance. This process is referred to as homeostasis. It is maintaining constancy within us on all levels: body, mind and spirit. Fortunately most of it goes on without our awareness. We don't have to think about it. Homeostasis is maintained and we feel fine and symptom free. Unfortunately, when the stressors are too many or too large our bodies can lose control. We move out of homeostasis and eventually symptoms begin.
True healing involves moving back through the adaptations and changes to the core problem or stressor that initiated the loss of homeostasis. Sometimes this process can be fast and easy. Sometimes the healing involves many layers and takes much time. I've heard this described as being like peeling away the layers of an onion to get to the root of the problem. It is my purpose to help you navigate your way back to that core problem and change it so you can return to your natural state of being - rich vibrant health!
Sometimes when we move from one layer of the onion to another, the symptoms associated with that next layer are worse than the symptoms we had with the first layer. We get worse before we get better. This is always hard to take. It makes some people want to give up. This is often just before the healing miracles happen. Its rather like childbirth. During a birth, women often reach the final stages of labor where the pain is the most intense and feel like they just can't do it any more. They want it all to be over. This, of course, is just prior to the birth of their beautiful baby. Get through those final minutes and suddenly all the pain and misery is forgotten. Get through those difficult changes and rich vibrant health is yours.
My services are not a substitute for conventional medical care. I encourage all of my patients/clients to maintain a relationship with a medical provider. I believe we are best served by having a team of helpers and care providers to attend to our needs. There is no one person who can provide for all your needs in any part of your life. I will always encourage you to consult with another doctor or healer to assist you on your journey. The path of healing may have one destination, but it has many paths and many choices. I encourage you to take the path that is best for you - whatever that path may be.
The healing journey is not linear. The healing journey is a spiral. Health is not a destination. Health is all day every day. Health is minute to minute. Health is how we think, feel and act. Health is what we do and don't do, say and don't say. Health is giving voice to all emotions, not just happiness. Health is how we allow ourselves to be and who we allow ourselves to be. Health is eating, sleeping, working, resting, playing, laughing, yelling, exercising, sitting, running, thinking, doing, praying, being - I think you get the picture. Health is loving and accepting our self fully and completely on all levels simultaeously. Health is giving full and equal status to body, mind and spirit. Because of this, I choose to work with all three levels in my practice. To ignore any one level or place our attention only on one level is to do a disservice to the others. True health cannot be created and manitained by living only in body or mind or spirit. It is my desire and purpose to help you in your choice to live rich vibrant health - to live fully in all levels - body and mind and spirit.
Blessings and rich vibrant health be yours!
